My Personal Mission Statement
I will
always strive to balance my vocation and my family life. I will
remember that one would not be as fulfilling without the other.
I will seek to understand, and then be understood. I will always
remember that it’s far more important to be a good listener than to
be a good talker. I will make quality communication equally
important in both aspects of my life.
I will always value sincerity, honesty and integrity. I will make
these attributes part of my day to day life. I will strive to
always be honest with people even if what I have to say is not what
they want to hear. But in telling them, I will exercise compassion
and sensitivity.
When someone says or does something that makes me feel positive, I
will tell them and thank them. I will be sure to give a little
extra attention to those who seem to need it.
I will never be afraid to speak my mind. But I’ll try to always
remember that everyone has the right to do the same. I will
encourage others to speak up when they might not have otherwise.
I will thank God every day for all that I am blessed with. But I
won’t judge others who follow a different path. My faith will be
the guiding light in my life and I will strive to be worthy.
I will try to be watchful of destructive or addictive behaviours in
my life. I will develop a variety of constructive and healthy
behaviours that will remind me how great wellness feels.
I will take part in life, not sit idly by watching from a distance.
I will exert my God-given free will and choose to actively seek out
my destiny, and will encourage others to do the same. But I will
respect their right to be satisfied with where they’re at in life.
I will help someone if given the opportunity, and enjoy doing it;
but I will encourage others to help themselves whenever possible. I
will share whatever knowledge I’ve acquired but try to remember
that not everyone is interested.
I will try to share the small joys of life with my clients and
enrich their lives wherever I can. I will respect the values and
priorities of my clients while helping them to turn their dreams
into goals then achievements.
I will never value money any more that it’s ability to pay the
mortgage or the bills. Money will never drive me; it is only a
means to one level of lifestyle or another. I will never allow my
lifestyle to exceed my means.
I will keep my mind open and strive to be continually educating
myself. I will never forget that self-awareness is vitally
necessary for true happiness and that humour is essential for
life-long sanity.
