Markham Stouffville Hospital is a 215-bed acute care community hospital
where we have been providing high quality, patient-focused care since
Hospital opening in 1990. Within this state-of- the-art facility, we
foster a dynamic, team-driven environment which results in a challenging
and rewarding workplace. We support and provide ongoing professional
development for all staff to ensure current knowledge and continued
growth. Markham Stouffville Hospital is the Base Hospital for York
Region. As the Base Hospital, our Emergency physicians serve as a
resource centre for paramedics region-wide.
Southlake Regional Health Centre

Southlake Regional Health Centre is a full service Hospital with a
regional, clinically advanced focus and is situated in the community of
Newmarket, just 40 minutes north of downtown Toronto. Currently home to
over 300 patient beds and a full complement of outpatient services,
Southlake serves a primary population of approximately 200,000 people
who reside in northern York Region, south Simcoe County and north-west
Durham Region - a geographical area of approximately 800 square miles.
York Central Hospital

York Central Hospital is a full service 430-bed community hospital
scheduled to begin a major expansion and redevelopment of its Emergency,
Dialysis, Critical Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Operating Rooms, Mental
Health and Woman and Child facilities in 2004. The hospital serves more
than 300,000 residents in the York and Simcoe Regions with approximately
12,000 new residents moving into the Hospital's service area annually;
